Small Mammal Care

The category of “small mammals” includes:
  • Rabbits
  • Mice
  • Rats
  • Guinea pigs
  • Hamsters
  • Gerbils

Although these pets do not require any vaccinations, they do need regular veterinary visits. Many of the diseases that we see in these animals can be related to diet or environment. It is very important to discuss with a doctor diet, snacks, cage set-up, and socialization. They have shorter lifespans, therefore, 6 months between examinations is proportionally much longer than us going 1 year between exams.

We offer dietary consults, environment consults, sick exams, spays and neuters, mass removals, and molar floating in rabbits.
